Word: Hold her, Newt… (Descriptive phrase.)
Definition: used when something – an automobile, horse, wagon – is about to go out of control.

Usage (the entire exclamation is rendered):
Hold her, Newt: she’s headin’ for the meddah” (meadow; or river, swamp, etc.)
